Cincinnati Bell in not, and never was a part of the old Bell System. It is an ILEC with it's own personally owned network. – Neville317

Conair Corporation still uses the Bell logo under the Southwestern Bell Freedom Phone brand. – Minh Nguyễn (talk, contribs) 07:29, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Zoomtown redirects to this article, yet the link is in this article. Is there a reason for this? 67.96.20.158 (talk) 18:38, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Cincinnati Bell Wireless Info

[edit]

Now that Cincinnati Bell Wireless is wholly owned by Cincinnati Bell, I see no reason we should have two articles (one for the company, and one for one of its services). Also, the company seems to be presenting a new unified services line to its customers. We should consider merging the CBW article into the Cincinnati Bell article to reflect these changes.--Janus657 18:24, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Cincinnati Bell has adopted a new logo that pairs the preexisting wordmark with a circled, modified infinity symbol. Here's a raster version, and a vectorized version can be found in various PDF slide decks. – Minh Nguyễn 💬 00:01, 10 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oak Hill Capital

[edit]

This page fails to include the substantial ownership by Oak Hill Capital. I have a COI with any Bass Family or related company as Oak hill is owned by RMB. Please See:

Cincinnati Bell or Altafiber?

[edit]

Someone just changed the intro to Altafiber, which seems to be the parent company (and as far as I could tell from a cursory search, AF does not own/operate other significant business). Shouldn't the article be moved/renamed to Altafiber then? Superboilles (talk) 20:33, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The company just rebranded as Altafiber. At this point it seems to just be a new brand name comparable to Xfinity (not a separate parent company); the company's legal name hasn't changed yet, and most pages on the website still refer only to "Cincinnati Bell". So I'm inclined to hold off on a move for now per WP:COMMONNAME. — stickguy (:^›)— || talk || 14:58, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Superboilles I agree. Most news articles say that the name change will take 6 to 9 months to complete. The page move should wait unit its official. Janus657 (talk) 02:48, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

KY counties listed in wrong state

[edit]

An anonymous user changed several Kentucky counties to West Virginia. Either they were mistaken, or this was vandalism. All counties listed as KY are indeed in KY, and I corrected it to reflect this.

Cincinnati Bell/altafiber has NEVER operated in or near WV. (Also, no part of WV is in or near Greater Cincinnati.) JHOhio_47030 10:26, 12 February 2023 (UTC) JHOhio_47030 10:26, 12 February 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxweljc (talkcontribs)
