Sulcopyrenula is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Pyrenulaceae.[1] It contains five species.[2] The genus was circumscribed by Hiroshi Harada in 1999, with Sulcopyrenula staurospora assigned as the type species. It is distinguished from other genera in the Pyrenulaceae by its longitudinally grooved (sulcate) ascospores.[3]
