"This, however, brings up the issue of scars being seen which only shows others of the person's behavior which could be used as a deliberate attempt at seeking attention or sympathy" This is simply unsupported by the fourth citation. It leads to a mental health site, that includes, on a different page "the truth about self harm". In it it says nothing, whatsoever, about visible scars being an intentional attention seeking behavior, quite the opposite. I am removing it...
