Samuel Andrew Malin of Hailes, Baron of Hailes (born September 1963)[1] is a Canadian-British businessman billionaire and noble Lord in the Baronage of Scotland due to a 13th-century castle in Scotland attached to the Lordship of Hailes. He resides in Madagascar and the United Kingdom.
He was supposedly an investor and president of Burke's Peerage in 2017 but there is no proof of directorship or ownership on Companies House, only Tatler press articles.[2][3] He also does not have a Burke's Peerage profile.[1]
The Lord of Hailes made his fortune in oil and gas.[4]
He is married to the singer Irene Major, Lady Hailes and has 9 children.[5]
The couple appears on a Channel 5 TV series Britain's Flashiest Families.[6]
The family seat is Ingress Abbey.[5]
