Joelho
Appearance
Popularly called joelho,[1] also known as italiano,[2] is a traditional savory snack in the city of Rio de Janeiro[1] and its metropolitan area.[2][3][4]
It is also called enroladinho, bauru (if with tomato), americano, pão pizza, jacaré and misto throughout Brazil.[5]
Made with bread dough filled with ham and cheese,[2][1] it is sold in almost every bakery, small snack bars, and kiosks in Rio de Janeiro's capital city.[1]
