Jeremiah Chukwuebuka Ani (born 6 May 1999) professionally known as Jeriq is a Nigerian independent rapper and songwriter.[1][2]

Early life and career

Jeriq was born in Nkpor, Anambra State. He attended the College of the Immaculate Conception (CIC) in Enugu State for his secondary education, and proceeded to Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), where he obtained his first degree. He has been singing professionally since he was 15 years old[3]

In 2020 he released "No More Nleka", with support from Zoro, and then released a six-track EP, "Hood Boy Dreams". Jeriq featured Phyno in the remix of "Remember", a track from the EP.[4][5]

In 2021, he collaborated with Dremo on an EP, "Ea$t N We$t" and on December of that year, contributed to DJ Neptune's "Cash". In May 2022, he released his debut album, Billion Dollar Dream.[6] In 2023, he was featured on Blaqbonez's album titled 'Emeka Must Shine' on the song 'NYEM EGO' which has currently garnered over 8 million streams on Spotify. In 2024, Jeriq released a new album titled "King".
