- It is the only picture thus far available to illustrate the subject matter. When a more suitable picture, especially in terms of copyright status, is found, it may be replaced.
- So far, there is no free equivalent.
- No free-license alternatives are available that convey the same information, i.e. the depiction of the particular person,
- The image is no larger, and of no higher quality, than required for its use in articles. This means copies of it cannot be used for profit.
- It is used in Wikipedia only for educational purposes and is not used for profit.
- Its use on Wikipedia does not compete with the copyright holder.
- Its use on Wikipedia is not expected to decrease the value of the copyright to its holder.
- Part of this photo has been repeatedly used on memorials held every year in Hiroshima in order to illustrate Naka, meaning it's a photo that has already been in considerable use for illustrative purposes and is of high informative value.
- The photo also depicts her in a typical Japanese actress outfit, making it very representative of her status as a stage actress.
