Description
English: On May 5, 2010 a group of West Point Cadets presented the Crown Rescue Device to the Park Service. The custom cadet designed and built device consists of a rescue chair and utilizes the outer railing of the statue's staircase and rides down at a constant speed, dampened by a modified personal escape rope system.
