Español: La obra representa al rey Fernando I de León, que aparece junto a sus cortesanos, acogiendo a Santo Domingo de Silos, que había escapado del monasterio de San Millán de Suso tras enfrentarse con el rey García Sánchez III de Pamplona, hermano del propio monarca leonés. Y cuando llegó a Castilla y fue recibido por el monarca leonés a las puertas de la ciudad de Burgos, el soberano nombró al santo abad del monasterio que posteriormente llevaría su nombre.
