Draft:Toxe
Submission declined on 10 September 2024 by Utopes (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Tove Agélii, known professionally as Toxe, is a producer and DJ from Gothenburg, Sweden. She has been releasing music since 2015 and composing scores for film and runway shows. Together with Mechatok, she also makes music under the moniker Emiranda. Agélii contributed considerably to the art direction and visuals of her own releases.
Toxe flits between hi-tech futurism and human emotion. Her tracks quake with heavy drums and cut-glass synths, nodding to fellow dancefloor disrupters like Kamixlo and Total Freedom. In 2015, while still in highschool, she released her debut EP Muscle Memory on Staycore and a Britney Spears-sampling single, Xic on Rabit's Halcyon Veil imprint. Named a producer to watch by Noisey, FADER and Dazed, she also participated in the 2015 Red Bull Music Academy in Paris and has been appearing regularly since on bills for club nights around Europe.[1]
Music career
[edit]Toxe released her debut EP, Muscle Memory,[2] in 2015, which was followed up in 2018 with Blinks that was released via PAN.[3] Recently, she provided the score for the short film The Story Of Leonora, which was released in 2023[4] . Toxe has been a resident on internet radio station NTS Radio[5] making several guest appearances and hosting her show FF. Her recent NTS episodes have been listed as Toxe Radio.
On Thursday, 27th of June 2024, Toxe released Som En Sol[6]on YEAR0001, her first single in several years, as part of the rollout for her album Toxe2. On the 8th of August, this was followed up by another single, Pillow Fight.[7] Toxe2 was released via YEAR0001 on August 30th, 2024, along with a music video for the track Souvenir.[8] Toxe2 is her first vocal album sung in her native Swedish.[9]
