History
[edit]After Azad Khan Afghan was defeated by the Zand, they retreated from Isfahan due to the threat of the Qajars in Mazandaran. The Qajars unsuccessfully besieged the city of Shiraz. Azad Khan invaded the Qajar state in early 1756.[1]
Azad Khan pushed the Qajars back to Gorgan. Mohammad Hassan Khan Qajar then attacked and successfully pushed the Afghans back to the original border before launching an invasion of Azad Khan's territory. There Mohammad Hassan Khan occupied Tabriz. A few months later, he captured all of Azad Khan Afghan's territories.[1]
