Ark Area is a multidirectional scrolling shooter released in arcades by UPL in 1987. It is a direct sequel to the 1983 arcade game Nova 2001, which was published by Universal Entertainment in North America.
Gameplay
[edit]The player controls the futuristic spacecraft to shoot enemies, collect power-ups, and defeat bosses while advancing through 23 levels. If the players loses one life or more, the game will be over. However, players may continue playing by insrerting credits into the arcade machine.
Ports
[edit]The game was ported to the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch as part of the Arcade Archives series by the eventual copyright holder of the game, Hamster Corporation.[1]
