Notes

[edit]
  1. ^ a b Teams from a large part of northern Sweden, approximately above the province of Medelpad, were not allowed to play in the national league system until the 1953–54 season, and a championship was instead played to decide the best team in Norrland.
  2. ^ No teams from Uppsvenska Serien were allowed to be promoted to Allsvenskan, due to both geographic and economic reasons.
  3. ^ a b c d e f g h i j k Tie breaker is goal average.
  4. ^ Grycksbo IF were excluded from the league after the team did not turn up for their match against Sandvikens IF in the last round. Their match results are not included in the table of the other teams.
  5. ^ a b c Örebro SK, Falkenbergs GIK and Lunds BK who all finished last or second last in their respective leagues, and should have been relegated, were allowed to remain in Division 2.
  6. ^ a b After IFK Göteborg had been declared champions, it was discovered that IFK Örebro had not yet been eliminated from the tournament. Thus, two "finals" were played, the first and false final, and after the discovery, the real final.
  7. ^ The Norwegian sources state that score after first time was 2:1, and Finn Berstad scored at 32'.
