Account renamed

[edit]

Your account has been renamed to User:Thunderhead -- IlyaHaykinson 01:01, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, I have renamed all your user space pages so that they reflect your new user name. —this is messedrocker (talk) 01:08, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. All to make the Wikinews users more comfortable. Thunderhead(talk) 01:10, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

wireless icon thingy

[edit]

Do you by any chance have an SVG or PNG version of that image? (JPEG == BAD for clipart and anything non-photo). Bawolff ☺☻ 22:06, 4 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Right here (Wikinews accepts PNG, SVG, GIF, JPG/JPEG, OGG (OGM?) MID PDF SXW (PDF SXW for print) and a couple others I believe. (Actually, preferable for this type of image commons:special:upload [requires account] (please categorize properly there, If you don't know any cats I could tell you a few)). Bawolff ☺☻ 23:33, 4 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I put transparency on the white (to make it look better on white bg), and losslessly compressed a tiny bit, and here's my version if you want it - Image:Wireless icon.png. Bawolff ☺☻

For cats on commons a good place to look is http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:CategoryTree?target=Topics&mode=categories&dotree=Show Tree as well as the right hand column on Commons main page. Bawolff ☺☻ 01:47, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I deleted your IRC log...technically, public IRC logging is forbidden. If you want the text of it, let another admin know (not me; I'm mostly inactive here), and they might e-mail it to you, but logs can't be publicly provided. Ral315 (talk) 23:28, 9 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

is contridictory. It says you release your edits into the public domain under the GFDL. That just doesn't make sense to me. Also all edits are under the CC-BY in addition to whatever you do. as well if you are releasing to PD (which I'm unsure of if you are) consider adding yourself to Category:Dual-PD. Happy editing.Bawolff ☺☻ 01:54, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wait, GDFL is WikiPEDIA, right? So that means that CC is news. Hang on, and I'll go fix that. Sorry! Thunderhead(talk) 01:55, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes CC-BY 2.5 is news after Sept something 2003. see meta:Wikinews/License for more info. Bawolff ☺☻ 02:01, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

accreditation and OR

[edit]

accreditation is not a must for OR. what OR needs is that wikinews is fairly certain of the correctness, neutrality and completeness of the original report content. the notes, preference for trusted (Accredited) members, etc is all meant to serve this goal.  —Doldrums (talk) 19:36, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Oh, Administrator....

[edit]

The template? It needs a bit of a reword, but what I'm more concerned about is how noticable it is. Since this template will be on virtually every article, I feel this template should be discreet. Otherwise, people would get annoyed by the constant yellow box on every page, plus we've never had much of a tradition on templates for archived articles. How about, I develop a more discreet version of the template and you tell me what you think? —this is messedrocker (talk) 20:53, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

RfA thanks

[edit]

Hi Thunderhead,

Thank you for supporting my RfA. It finished with 4/1/0, which is not a big crowd... But I'll try to be the best admin I can be. If you have any questions please ask!!! My rights are not changed yet though, but they soon will. You shouldn't regard admins as "bigger people", but more like "janitors" who can do a little more maintenance tasks than the rest out here. Happy wiki-ing!

Re: RE Rfa

Ooh! Maybe i'll reapply on my birthday if this one doesn't pass (Feb 22nd). I have to say I was disheartened to see your vote change from a Support to a Neutral - however I do plan to "use the buttons" as and when needed (my experience in running personal wikis helps me in knowing the tools quite well, and anything I don't quite know I can hopefully pick up or test on my own wikis rather than accidentally breaking something here ;)). Thanks for your honest and informative vote - and by Saturday we will know! --Skenmy(tcwi) 21:25, 2 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Original reporting

[edit]

I was especially interested in this question to anthere: "Wikinews gives people credentials (excuse my spelling) which allow us to report in the field. I, myself am not accredited, but what's your view on this?" Okay, her answer was delegated. What's your answer on that? (I'm not asking hard.) -Edbrown05 09:41, 18 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hmm? I was asking her if she thought that the community giving credintials was a good idea. Thunderhead - (talk) Congrajulations to Kat! 15:47, 18 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I believe we all think giving Wikinewsians credentials is a good idea. No-thanks for your no-answer. -Edbrown05 07:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I also think that currently accredited Wikinews reporters are not doing much reporting, which begs the question of which comes first, a report or accreditation? Actually, neither to me is especially important, but I am also wary of hoax stuff. -Edbrown05 08:00, 19 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Personally, I feel that Accredited Reporter status is overlooked. Most of us (when we run for Accredidation) think we are gonna use it alot, but Accredited Reporter status for Wikinews is rarely used. :P
Maybe now I can say what I wanted to say, this Christmas spirit person comes into a restaurant and spills a $500 tip on the restaurant staff, according to my daughter in law. Is this news? I think so, but will I report it. Nope, it gets too personal. But I could write a poignant story about it if I felt so inclined. Maybe others would think it's news. (Jeez why'd my screen gett blanked trying to post this earlier?) -Edbrown05 06:03, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

hi, couple of things about the recent edits made using AWB: it's changed commonwealth to US spelling on one occasion and removed valid WP links a couple of times. also, while the generic AWB edit summary is ok for purely automated changes, if u make any manual edits (esp. big ones such as tagging for speedy), then it's a good idea to note it in the edit summary. best,  — Doldrums(talk) 06:04, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merry Christmas to you too. By the way, Ed says weird things sometimes, possibly because he thinks it makes him look cool (does it??). Read between the lines and you'll get the message. Cheers. Zeest(Talk)(Newpages) 06:34, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ed says weird things when he is not trying to make any difference. What weird Ed does think is that Wikinews should shit-can NPOV and create a [[Category:Local news]] tag that kicks a story off the MainPage but still keeps it published in it's Region category page, perhaps even in Topic categories. At least then, the contribution by users of the site will not suffer deletion, which is an insult to the effort that underwent the contribution in the first place. The contributor will have the satisfaction of publication (though more limited), and the news item in its Portal space will encourage more localism. I am also of the belief that more serious news writers, and users, and news stories would aspire to be MainPage news items.

This would of course mean Administrators would have to get off their duffs and actually create Portal pages like little ole Allentown, Pennsylvania when a local news story of crappiness from that neck of the woods pops up, but that Portal should be created anyway. And in the case of Heartly condolence, the trouble to ask on the article's Discussion page from where that event occurred by administrators would assure that, if answered, the Portal page was created and the article recorded. -Edbrown05 09:21, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

People will take care of Neutral-point-of-view. -Edbrown05 10:02, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Wikinews is, and should be, more of a monster than Wikipedia. The reason it isn't, is because people are being suppressed. -Edbrown05 10:23, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merry Christmas!

[edit]
File:Santa arrest.JPG
HO HO HO! These people got no presents from me this year.
FellowWikiNews is whishing thou a Merry very pegan Christmas , Seasons Greetings, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever thou calls it, and
realised they had purposefully forgotten about thou. This user is completely thoughtless, doesn't care about Season's Greetings,
and therefore DEMANDS you have yourself a Merry Christmas... NOW!

Failure to comply will result in going to jail with Santa. (Note: Santa is Satan spelt backwards)!

Christmas Story (Children Friendly):

So kids, is Santa Democrat or Republican??!

Often depicted as an obese man wearing a tasteless red, ermine trimmed suit, Santa Claus is a self-employed Caucasian male who's been married to the same woman for several centuries. It appears likely that he is a churchgoer, insofar as he is a Catholic saint and a former bishop. It has to be assumed here that Claus was released from his vows, or else he would not have been married.

Frequent arguments have erupted over the political affiliation of Claus. Ten years ago, Dick Cheney inadvertently dealt a savage blow to the morale of the Republican Party when he misidentified the political affiliation of Santa Claus in his best-selling book, Parliament of Whores. "Santa Claus," he said, "is a Democrat." However it is perfectly obvious from his demographic profile alone that Santa is in fact a Republican.

This assessment is often rebutted by Democrats with Anne-McCaffery counter-analysis: Santa Claus has no children. High-achieving professionals without children trend Democratic. While the Clausian canon does not specifically address the issue of Santa's children, numerous extra-canonical sources suggest that Claus did, in fact, reproduce. Numerous Christmas TV movie specials alone support this point.

Santa is renowned for an aggressive adherence to a binary naughty/nice list, which suggests an impatience for nuanced moral positions that betrays his Republican preferences. Santa's mere willingness to define individuals along a naughty/nice axis demonstrates his indifference to the philosophical stance of, say, The New York Times. And note that no canonical or extra-canonical Clausian text indicates that Santa ever attended college or, God forbid, graduate school.

THE END!!!

FellowWikiNews approves of this story.

Thank you for the nice animated card, hope you have a good holiday season and a prosperous new year. --Brian McNeil / talk 08:43, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

New idea for community goings-on

[edit]

Hi, (I hope you don't mind this general message, I'm just randomly contacting people from my talk page)

I've had an idea after reading User:Kinnerc/WhereToWikinews? that might make people more aware of what's currently going on on this site, what discussions are being held, where help is needed etc. I've designed a little signpost-like box that I would like to introduce as a newsletter to post on user talk pages. Of course, the majority is copied from the Newsroom, which I think people don't visit often enough. Oh yeah, and the title should probably change :-D

I would appreciate some feedback on the idea, and also I'm interested to know if you would subscribe to such a newsletter. Please go to User_talk:Stevenfruitsmaak/Goings-on.

ay ay, sir or ma'am. -Edbrown05 23:41, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Addressing you as "sir or ma'am" goes to the core of users remaining anonymous. Main-stream-media's first reaction to interactive websites, such as this one reporting on news events, was wtf? Where the "w" meant "who", not "what"... as in who-tf?
I understand that it is ideas and reporting actions that drive Wikinews. I wouldn't attempt to buck the established system of anonyminity here, but I do marvel at the empowerment of it.
As for New News, the first time I ever heard of any such a thing was by MrMiscellanious here, within the context of Admin Code of Conduct. -Edbrown05 01:19, 31 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

CES

[edit]

In all seriousness, would you be willing to travel to Las Vegas, if we could get you in to CES? -- Zanimum 15:36, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Considering your age you might get some condescending treatment if you attempt to attend CES as a Wikinews reporter, but I'm not opposed to you applying for accreditation and having a go - however there are probably 4-5 articles in an attendance, you'd have to do an apple product roundup and similar for other companies before you could do a show roundup with all those articles as related news - so, just a warning, it'd be quite a bit of work (but I suspect you'd thoroughly enjoy it). --19:15, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Addendum, if you do go for accreditation (which I suspect you'd get now) then I'd be happy to offer any backup I can to help get you into CES. I can't do much, other that write emails, but I'm one of the "senior" contributors on Wikinews with lots of edits and a bit of reputation, I'd like to back you on doing CES - and I suspect you'd end up being a journalist if you got to do it and it went well. --Brian McNeil / talk 19:19, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well I'm glad to have your support! Like I said, I'm trying everything I can to get some travel arrangements, but I have a year before the event. Remember, no promises. --Thunderhead - (talk) 20:19, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • It's good to plan in advance, start looking for CES contacts so we can crack getting a "kid" in there. Nobody with a stand at the show would object to you being there, and you might get some preferential treatment for some things. However, you might need to build a portfolio of tech articles to prove you can cover their stuff. --Brian McNeil / talk 21:49, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've been asking around my family, and so far, nobody has any plans (or any means) of getting me to Las Vegas, so it'd be better for y'all to look for somebody else. I'd love to go, but it's extremley doubtful. Sorry about getting your hopes up, though, I still might run for accredidation on Tech articles. --Thunderhead - (talk) 22:28, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hehe, it's true. More like my county, though. My uncle'd be jealous of me :) --Thunderhead - (talk) 23:34, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

In all seriousness, eh? Well, I'd be the youngest Wikinews accredited reporter here, so if they would let me in, I might be able to arrange travel with my uncle. I'll have to check around, though. --Thunderhead - (talk) 18:43, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Again, no promises that I'll be able to go. --Thunderhead - (talk) 18:49, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Great, I'll start checking the application requirements. You seem knowledgeable, personable, and a good writer, so I can't see anything against it. They want to market their show and their exhibitors products, and so long as who we send can meet that requirement, I can't see anything wrong with that. I can leave the specifics out until it's approved. -- Zanimum 15:12, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh for god sakes. "Online registration is now closed. You can register on-site beginning January 6, 2007." Follow the link, and Feb 10th was the last day. Remind me in June, after the show happens for 2007. We'll try for 2008. -- Zanimum 15:16, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unless you someone (probably not you unless you're voice is deceptive enough) can phone to Las Vegas, to try and woo Tara and Sarah (the press people) into letting the world's/United States'/UK's 10th largest site in. Post it on the watercooler, see if anyone's willing and able. -- Zanimum 15:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well, I'm really honored that you all think I'd be a good candidate. I'm still trying to find travel arrangements. --Thunderhead - (talk) 17:56, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Try to ask for someone to phone CES, to convince them, before spending too much time planning how you could get there. -- Zanimum 15:16, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

You didn't really need to have added {{unblock|This user opposes Checkuser information}} as checkuser is pretty correct and he probably wouldn't have got unblocked. re: Both have the "Copied from Meta" tag. Excuse me. --Thunderhead - (talk) 01:44, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yep... and no problem. That other one was brought over by no less a luminary as former WMF board member Angela though. Nice lady. It's either evolved or she trimmed it considerably. She must have been active here helping get you guys set-up.
The one I'm doing is more technically complete, and I just noticed the page on Meta has also been redirected to the title used by her here (or maybe it's redirected the other way), either way, looks like they are supposed to be the same page. I just figured I'd port it as it was a redlink on another page I brought over. Just call me the ferryman!
Let me finish getting the several m:Category:Handbook templates you guys should already have over here and see if I can get this updated version to play ball. Then I can see if there's a list for your site to be added to so you get the same periodic updates as the other sisters when such Meta pages change. That's what usually happens on the commons and wikipedia with such pages. Editing them does little good, as the Meta copy needs any permanent changes... so you edit the Meta version, if any at all. The ironic part is proposed changes of major kind are discussed on wikipedia's Village pump! Go figure! <g>. Nice to meetchya-- just don't cloud up and rain all over me! <g> // FrankB 02:19, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
  • And yeah, one will get the updated content, and the other be a redirect... however Meta routed those. Suspect Help:XXX is the proper destination. // FrankB 02:21, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
You may wish to check the copyright of those pages. I believe they are GFDL. Bawolff 23:41, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

It searches to see if it's been used on Wikinews (and all the other projects)... actually, I dunno since there's that links tab at the bottom...  Thunderhead  ►  06:47, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
No, that's checkusage. Wikisense suggests category's to put the image in on commons (and to a limited extent wikipedia), you're thinking of checkusage (which really won't tell you much more then what's at the bottom of the page. its really only useful for images on commons, as the thing at the bottom only displays for the wiki you're on). P.S. I was ransomly looking at special:recentchanges in random languages, (I was bored, and wanted to test lynx in strange scripts - its better then firefox, anyways I saw you create an account on ta:special:recentchanges which I thought was cool as i wasn't expecting to really see anything there). user:Bawolff

Decorations

[edit]

Having just done {{QuoteRight}} for the DUP and Sinn Féin make gains in Northern Ireland Assembly election article, I think we need something when people are writing a new article that gives them a page on the various decorations they can use on an article. There's infoboxes and a host of other things that improve the visual appearance of articles, but I think we need something concise that links to the various options.

Thoughts? --Brian McNeil / talk 15:20, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Blocking

[edit]

I have to say I'm not too happy with you blocking that David Shankbone guy, even if it was just for 3 hours. Certainly his comment wasn't too friendly but it was no clear attack to me. I don't want to argue about it, because it's kinda in the eye of the beholder, but to me it was kind of a drastic measure, to silence someone like that who's clearly a valuable Wikimedian but who is outing critical comments. I replied to him to say how I felt. I hope you can appreciate this kind of feedback -semper fide.--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 02:08, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't believe his edits were vandalism. Surely correcting a typo and adding the date template is not vandalism. FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 01:13, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, and the only reason that I gave him the test template was for removing the "Needs sources" template, whether it be intentional or not.  Thunderhead  ►  01:29, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for welcoming me. I have a problem with my username / password. It appears that somehow that the sytem has an issue with what I thought was my password. Also, it has lost my e-mail address and is not sending me what it thinks is the password.

Also, I'm not sure I picked the right category for my proposed article. Please help if you can.

Any new gol image that can't be used under another tag (for example, the recently uploaded ones were cc-by) should be deleted. Old ones I think we should wait on touching. Bawolff 22:05, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Couldn't we just change a Mediawiki thing to make the Special:Upload say that it should be deleted if a user selects that license? For example, if someone selects "Grant of license" in the drop-down box, it'd show a big red warning on the page?  Thunderhead  ►  22:07, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Gol is not in the drop down box as its discouraged. The tag also has a big fat warning on it. Bawolff 23:44, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Please do not move a person to the admin list or archive their RFA until they have been actually granted adminship. I did not notice Markie had not been granted adminship because of it until Brian let me know on my talk page. It is not a big deal at all, but just an fyi. There are also a few rare cases (socks or a checkuser match to a vandal) where an RFA may appear to have consensus but the person not get adminship. --Cspurrier 19:59, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I can't remember where the dismissable message for the top of the wiki is. I think the opinions tabs should be promoted in it for a week or two. If you can remember where it is, can you stick a link to it on WN:A, I think there should be a "useful links for admins" section on that page so things like that get used. --Brian McNeil / talk 08:58, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

We will cover one news story and, will cover it with much depth - the story will go for 15-20 minutes. We are looking for something which is not of direct interest to the media (ie. tax increases or politics) but rather, a heartfelt or deep story. Could you please help to collaborate and brainstorm here.

Exclusive Interview with Tony Benn

This week, Wikinews editor Brianmc got an interview with British politican, Tony Benn. Benn, 82, was also formerly the Secretary for Energy under UK PM James Callahan and Harold Wilson. The interview, which is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License 2.5, can be found here. There is also an audio interview available at this image page in .OGG format.

This week, several new articles appeared on the Wikinews Reports blog: "Home video catches alleged UFOs in Haiti", "Encyclopædia Britannica reaches Wikipedia's main page", and two articles under the heading "Wikinews reports from Wikimania 2007".

About the Wikinews Bulletin

The Wikinews Bulletin is a free internal newsletter for members of the Wikinews community. The newsletter is "staffed" by several editors, who produce the fortnightly publication. The publication has produced six issues. To unsubscribe, click here, and remove your name. To subscribe, click here, and add a direct link to your talk page.

From the Editors

Welcome to the latest edition of the Wikinews Bulletin! This week, you may have noticed a slight change in the design. This was because I felt that as a different project, Wikinews should not copy the Wikipedia Signpost. If you disagree, be bold and make your opinion known on the talk page.
Thunderhead - (talk) 00:14, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

IRC Discussion
  • This fortnight, not much happened on IRC. There was a debate among DragonFire1024 and Wikimedia Foundaton intern Mike H., but that was about it.
Wikimedia News (From Meta)
  • The Polish Wikipedia on DVD has finally been released and is available for purchase in shops in Poland as well as online. The release contains 239 000 articles, 59 000 images and the dedicated Java software WikiMiner. The DVD costs 39 PLN (~ 10 EUR, $14). Soon the 8 GB image of the DVD will be available for download as well.

Take a look at the above as it is now. Do you think it would be an idea to get this published like that - say change the title to Wikinews interviews Tony Benn: On U.K politics, then pick up other bits as they get transcribed (hint, hint). --Brian McNeil / talk 09:28, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Reverting my edit to User:L337p4wn

[edit]

I guess I can understand that you might find it unethical. I don't really understand why your opinion is important, however. Consider the w:Meetball Wiki, where that sort of practice is highly encouraged.

I've previously reverted or fixed userpage edits from other users that don't really belong, but something like an interwiki userpage link is pretty standard stuff. irid:t 18:42, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Apologies about intruding here but looking at the edit here, I would support Thunderhead in his decision to revert it. The problem is that the link you added implies that the two editors are connected when that might not be the case just because they share the same username at different projects. I'd advise leaving it up to the editor in question to add any such links. Adambro 18:48, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

About My Absense

[edit]

Hey everyone, looks like I'm back for a while. Recently, I've been extremley medically sick, and that has restricted my ability to edit, but it looks like things are getting much better very quickly, so I've returned, at least for now. My editing is still going to be fairly limited, but I intend to get much more involved in Wikinews. I've only been gone 2 months now, but it feels like 2 years! If I've missed anything major, please let me know here, especially if I'm not likely to discover it on my own. Looking forward to coming back: Thunderhead - (talk - email - contributions) 09:44, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Signature deletion warning

[edit]

Please be aware that I intend to delete the signature template {{ss}} which you use per the deletion request. I'd also note the comments at https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11414 by one of the WMF developers, Brion Vibber, who says that "templates are disallowed in sigs" in response to the suggestion that not being able to use a template signature is a bug.

I'd therefore ask that you immediately update Special:Preferences to remove the template from your signature. By using this template, you have noted that having long signatures as part of a comment can be a nuisance. I'd therefore suggest that you greatly simplify your signature and carefully consider whether multiple links and different text styles really are appropriate.

I will delete the template after I've run my bot through the pages which it is used and substituted it to maintain the signature as per the template. Adambro - (talk) 19:58, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just a reminder of the above, you might wish to look how your recent signature has appeared after my previous message, amend your preferences, and fix your recent signatures. Adambro - (talk) 17:59, 29 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that's what I've done :) I'll be updating those signatures as soon as I get the chance. Thanks for the reminder! Thunderhead 23:26, 29 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Original reporting

Since our last edition, many articles have claimed original reporting. Here are the most recent:

Several others wrote stories based on television sources. The Wikinews Reports blog activity was mostly related to some of these stories. You can ask any of the blog authors if you want to help out on the blog.

Editor's note

In the last few months activity on Wikinews has started to increase again, and discussion has restarted on the embargoed wiki. Anonymous101 (talk) 11:50, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Blog

[edit]

Hi Thunderhead. The wiki2blog feature is too buggy for general use, so it's not something Wikia is going to continue running. We might pick it up again in the future, but for now, you might want to delete the demo page at MediaWiki:Blog snippet which was feeding into the test blog. FlaggedRevs

[edit]

If you have not already seen this, please look, comment, and vote both here and on bugzilla. Further assistance such as contact information for Google would be a very useful detail to share and help in petitioning for a listing in their news index. --Brian McNeil / talk 14:57, 5 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for joining! You're a founding member!

Thunderhead, thanks for joining the m:Association of Patrolist Wikipedians. Would you like to second the proposal to establish the Association formally? Thanks!! :-) Fr33kman (talk) 04:09, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Can you edit 5 Dean articles?

[edit]

I want to add Category:Hurricane_Dean to the 5 pages linked from there. They're protected so I need the help of an admin.

Thanks. Jdorje (talk) 17:24, 4 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
