ScotiaCon 2012
ScotiaCon 2012 was the second rendition of the British convention ScotiaCon, taking place from July 27-30, 2012, at the Mercure Inverness in Inverness. The theme was "Keep Calm and Sing Along!", and the guests of honour were artists Kaji and Nimrais.[1]
Registration[edit]
On November 13, 2011, co-chairman Smirnoff announced that registration would be opening on November 19, 2011.[2] Ticket prices changed slightly from 2011, with the Basic ticket priced at £60, and the Sponsor ticket priced at £100. As for 2011, the ticket prices did not include accomodation, but ScotiaCon secured a deal with the hotel, enabling attendees to pay for their room any day up to the day of check-in. [3]
By the time registration closed on June 27, 2012, approximately 100 attendees had registered.
Videos[edit]
A teaser trailer for the con was released in January 2012 [4], with the full-length trailer being released on February 3, 2012[5]. An outtakes/blooper video from the trailer was released in April 2012.[6]
Charity[edit]
The convention raised a total of £2080 for this years charity - Highland Tiger :The Scottish Wildcat.[7][8]
