Jonathan Walker
Jonathan Walker (born 1966)[1] is a professional artist whose paintings include anthropomorphic animals. He lives in Devon, England.[1]

Jonathan grew up near the market town of Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands.[1] He struggled to find a direction during his early life, but his father, Keith (a more than competent painter himself), encouraged Jonathan's natural artistic abilities. Having dabbled in fine art, theology, and philosophy, Jonathan eventually qualified as an occupational therapist, and worked with people experiencing severe mental health problems.
In 1992, Jonathan moved to Devon, where he lives with his wife Frances and three young children (Laurie, Henry and Florence).[1]
Artwork[edit]
After his move to Devon, Jonathan was inspired by the local countryside and began "depicting the creatures of hedgerow, field and wood in an ever more eccentric manner".[1] His paintings depict "a secret world where foxes, badgers and hares (amongst many) take up cast off human garments and sensibilities".[1]
Jonathan Walker has done illustrations for the Redwall books The Redwall Map and Riddler, Tribes of Redwall: Otters, Tribes of Redwall: Badgers, and Tribes of Redwall: Mice.[2]
