Talk:XForms
Add topicWe are looking for great XForms examples. Please fee free to add your own examples.
Just and a line to the table of contents that looks like the following:
### [[/My Example Name/]]
Make SURE to put the double square brackes and a slash before and after the example name. Just save, and click on the link and put your code inside the
tags. We would also like to see a screen image and a discussion of your program.

Cleanup-NC
[edit source]I know it is a mistake easily done as so many programming books use the old and now obsolete "Namespace" naming convetion. Still the Book was started 5. September 2006 and therefore must follow the Wikibooks:Naming policy.
--Krischik T 06:09, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- OK. I will move the book. I was just following the examples and the link that you pointed me to did NOT explicitily state ANYTHING about not using namespaces in the book name.
--Dmccreary 11:51, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- Namespaces are seperated from the main text with a ':' - Like "Talk:", "User:", "Template:", Wikibooks: etc. pp. The confusion comes because ':' is also allowed inside a pagename. So "Programming:XForms" looks like the book "XForms" inside the namespace "Programming" but is isn't. Most real namespaces are used organisatoric pages and "Cookbook" is the only bookshelf which got real namespace. With the Wikibooks:Naming policy we finealy disallowed the namespace look alikes for books or bookshelfs. Real namespaces are still allowed - but you have to apply for one and there are only 255 available.
- Are there any tools to move an entire book?
- There are some bots which can help but I never used them. We moved 200 page [Ada Programming]] by hand and then run the "redirect fix bot.". As in Wikibooks:Staff lounge for bot use.
Printable version
[edit source]If anyone wants to create a printable version of this book, the instructions are here: Help:Print_versions. Feel free to do so but note that the Table of Contents is still being updated so the print version will have to stay in sync. Once we get to our first 100 example programs I think that might be a good cut-over point. --Dmccreary 15:17, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- I started to create a pritable version. It is XForms/Print version. It is not finished and would require maintenance for each time I redo a chapter. I hope to create a script that updates the printable verion in the future. Perhaps and XForm app?
Examples Wanted : Another Example added

[edit source]http://www.internetnews.com/dev-news/article.php/1499051 ?? This does not seem to be a guide to xForms? --Logomachist (talk) 17:44, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Or anyone know where to fine patch for IE get supported.
Could someone add info/examples on actions and events?
[edit source]I would request explanations of actions and events. Is it possible to have a conditional binding (where the binding is only in effect if some condition is true)? I'm having trouble finding this information elsewhere.
Removed Dead Link
[edit source]The following link is a 404 - it was located on the main title page. So I removed it: wasn't sure if it should be replaced by a new link, so hence made this note in case somebody knows.
