Saya is not very formal everywhere, in Makassar we always used 'saya' as a child.

Unfortunately I'm not intimately familiar versions of Indonesian spoken outside Jakarta so I only put the variations I'm familiar with, feel free to add to the lesson if you have any corrections/additions. Mr john 13:30, 2 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
