Moved from So So talk page[edit source]
You didn't like my fire hydrant? Awww, I photoshopped it up all special. . . sigh. . . Took me whole minutes! Oh, well. . . I don't want it back, it'll just clutter up my user page. . . Here, you keep it. ••••• I my cat! 07:44, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- This is photoshopped? Was it supposed to look like the scene before it died? I was a little confused, but decided to drop it post-feature. Looks a lot cleaner that way, don't you think? Thanks for the gesture anyway. (I'm going to move this to the fire hydrant talk page) --So So 07:56, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't do much to it, just removed some litter, "aged" it a little, and lightened the pic some. It's a fire hydrant behind where I work. I took the pic last spring, don't ask me why, and thought it would be a good shot of fire hydrant toward the end of it's life. Kinda decrepid looking, as opposed to the earlier ones, which are all nicely painted and sitting in nice grassy patches. With the orange plastic thingy sticking up (so it can be found in the winter,) kinda like a crutch, or something. ••••• I my cat! 08:08, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- Ahh, that's kinda what I thought. (It's "bald" too, right?) But I'm gonna have to give precedence to the page's overall composition this time. Thanks again. --So So 08:14, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Not really that funny[edit source]
I know the point was for it to be mundane, but it was too much and made the article fall flat for me. --
The last line redeems all[edit source]
Although the article lacks any mention of dogs pissing on the hydrant, which is sort of a pity since it was such a significant part of it's life.
"fukung.net/v/3366/Fire Hydrant.jpg" is kinda good.
I for one think this article is fantastic[edit source]
'Nuff said. It's one of my favorites. --Andorin Kato 08:08, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
fapping to goat porn[edit source]
this is a surprisingly good satire on the average American life. For a fucking article on fire hydrants. – Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.191.6.136 (talk • contribs)
- It works well. Also, we prefer that you add new posts to the bottom of talk pages, and sign them with the four tilde (~~~~) thing (which looks like a squiggly line in the toolbar). Nominally Humane! 01:27 24 Jul
