Inherited from Ottoman Turkish آجقلو (acıḳlu, grieved, sorrowful, mourning)[1] (alternatively; آجقلی (acıḳlı)[2]), from Ottoman Turkish آجق (acıḳ, grief, sorrow, mourning), from Ottoman Turkish آجیقمق (acımaḳ, to pity, to feel for, to grudge, to regret, to hurt, to give pain), from Proto-Turkic *ačï- (to pity, have compassion).[3][4] By surface analysis, acı--k-li.
