Redundant to sense 1 (we typically merge "person from" and "citizen of" senses - see eg German or American). Not sure why it's marked historical - the UAE is a recent state, and before its creation it was called Trucial Oman. Smurrayinchester (talk) 13:26, 12 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Delete as redundant. But I suspect this is not the full story; maybe they wanted to add a definitions saying emirati was someone from any emirate, copied the first definition and forgot to change half of it. — Ungoliant (falai) 15:17, 12 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
