Usage notes
editWikipedia only gives this name to the peninsula in Scotland the village is located on. On OS Landranger map 24 (Raasay & Applecross) the peninsula is unnamed, and only the village, Applecross Bay, the River Applecross and Applecross Forest bear this name. It was also described as a village in the AA Book of British Villages published in 1980.
