editEquated with the "velocity, quick" sense in Etymology 1 by MED. Luce, on the other hand, separates it from the "quick" sense and compares it with Old Chinese 前 (OC *zleːn, “before, front”), albeit with an incorrect transcription as "alhyaṅ" (with an "h").[1]
