This WikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the continent of South America with a spirit of cooperation. This page and its subpages contain suggestions on formatting and layout of articles about South America. To participate, simply add your name at the participants section.
Scope
editThis project covers the creation and maintenance of articles related to the continent of South America, its geology and geologic history, geography, climate and lifeforms. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on South America in a fair and accurate manner. It is grateful for the work of any other projects dealing with more specific areas of the continent, and will gladly focus its attention on those articles which fall within areas not covered by any other existing regional project. Given the existing projects below, that would leave our focus of attention currently on the Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, and Suriname.
