Wikipedia:Revert, ignore, semi-protect
This is an essay. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. The classic wiki technique of Wikipedia:Revert, block, ignore has become less efficacious due to technology changes -- as Internet access has shifted from hardwired to mobile, it's much easier for a person to have access to a large pool of different IPs they can change quickly, such that range blocking is problematic. So we have to shift more of a revert ignore semi-protect model. If a person persists in repeatedly disrupting a Wikipedia page from a range of IPs that make range-blocking counterproductive, the page should be semi-protected for a short duration.
