Automatic, Supervised, or Manual: Automatic
Programming language(s): Python
Source code available: In a sec
Function overview: Convert {{MusicBrainz release}}
to {{MusicBrainz release group}}
Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate):
Edit period(s): One time run
Estimated number of pages affected: ~700
Exclusion compliant (Yes/No): Sure
Already has a bot flag (Yes/No): Y
Function details: After chatting with the folks in #musicbrainz for a bit, it was pointed out that the release value is outdated, and we should be using the more superior release-group instead. With their API its trivial to get the release id, so it's a relatively simple task.
Discussion
editSeems like an appropriate bot task. Would like to see the discussions linked, but probably not a big deal with this task. Still easier to provide all the information in the beginning rather than to discuss missing information that could be readily provided. -68.107.137.178 (talk) 07:57, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
