Mentally retarded

edit

Sir, I saw that you were edit warring on Genie (feral child). The term "mentally retarded" is outdated and considered to be offensive. Please read Retard (pejorative). And do not edit war. Thank you. Pack My Box (talk) 21:16, 20 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi, @Pack My Box:. Thanks for taking the time to discuss this with me. I do agree that the term is considered to be offensive but as per my understanding, WP:Presentism implies that the old term should be used if most of the reliable sources available use it. However, I am not in a position to take the time to discuss this, so I'll avoid that article and leave it for other editors to discuss. TubeOfLightTalk Less, Smile More 01:18, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Sir, I would not change a direct quote but there is no need to retain offensive terms. That essay does not mean that we should not use modern terminology. Regardless, edit warring is not the way. Thank you for your reply. Pack My Box (talk) 02:42, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Fashion Psychology Field

edit

I removed the section about the founder, Dawnn Karen recieving racial descrimination as I thought that was the reason the article was marked as being written from a non- neutral point of view. Could you help me understand what it is that doesnt sound neutral? I am not being compensated for writting this article at all so I want to make sure it doesnt appear that way. Thank You

Hi, SophiaEx. Sorry for reverting your edits. I just now chose to read the sources you removed and I found that they were not relevant enough to be included in the article. I assumed that your edits weren't productive because your explanation didn't seem to be true (since Wikipedia has had problems with other people removing negative information and they tend to use similar edit summaries). If you said that the information you removed wasn't relevant enough to the article, I would have understood what you wanted to do and wouldn't have reverted your edits. Tube·of·Light 15:53, 27 July 2021 (UTC) (PS - Next time, please remember to sign your talk page messages with four tildes (like this ~~~~) so that editors will know that you have written a message to them. Wikipedia's software will convert that into a link to your userpage, a link to your talk page and a timestamp. You can read Wikipedia:Signatures for more info)Reply
PPS - You can now remove the info I re-added to the article. Tube·of·Light 15:54, 27 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

When nomintating articles on secondary schools for deletion, it is best to use Newspapers.com. WP:SIGCOV is found there more often than not. A Google search is rarely sufficient. Scorpions13256 (talk) 18:22, 5 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Linus Media Group. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. That image will be deleted after 7 days, so i urge you to please change the image with File:Cricket 6.jpg, for some reason i cant edit that page. Surfmaster23 (talk) 12:25, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sure, I have replaced the image. If possible, can you tell me who is the batsman and the bowler in that specific image so that I can add it to the image caption? Tube·of·Light 12:49, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
So Mitchell strac is bowling to Rohit Sharma who is on Strike and non striker is Shubman Gill. Surfmaster23 (talk) 14:59, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

What did i do?

edit

I just asked a question and you reverted it. I just wanted to know when Season 6 of TT&F will come out. I don't understand and according to YOU my edits are vandalism, yet they aren't, so what did i do? TeratingaKevinBaughsNewFriend (talk) 15:11, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

The talk page isn't meant to be used for asking about future seasons of TV shows, it is meant to be used to discuss only content issues and edits to the contents of the article. Using the talk page for a purpose it is not meant for constitutes vandalism and will result in such content being deleted. Tube·of·Light 15:16, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Alright, but why did you revert all my edits? Some inform a lot, but mostly basically nothing. TeratingaKevinBaughsNewFriend (talk) 20:18, 12 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
You made only one edit which I reverted. Everything else you wrote hasn't been reverted. Tube·of·Light 02:32, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
