editAny objection to me renaming this based on the more common spelling? Also, I believe the name should not be all caps since this is not an abbreviation or acronym (like NASA). see talk page comments here. Regards, JCutter (talk) 23:56, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
editHello Tom Paine! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 280 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Spaceflight portals
editHello! As an member editor of one or more of the Spaceflight, Human spaceflight, Unmanned spaceflight, Timeline of spaceflight or Space colonisation WikiProjects, I'd like to draw to your attention a proposal I have made with regards to the future of the spaceflight-related portals, which can be found at Portal talk:Spaceflight#Portal merge. I'd very much appreciate any suggestions or feedback you'd be able to offer! Many thanks,

WikiProject Human spaceflight activity
editHello there! As part of an effort to determine how many active editors are present in the spaceflight-related WikiProjects, I have made some changes to the list of members of WikiProject Human spaceflight. If you still consider yourself to be an active editor in this project, I would be grateful if you would please edit the list so that your name is not struck out - thus a clearer idea of the critical mass of editors can be determined. Many thanks in advance!

WikiProject Spaceflight reboot
editHello there! As you may or may not be aware, a recent discussion on the future of the Space-related WikiProjects has concluded, leading to the abolition of WP:SPACE and leading to a major reorganisation of WP:SPACEFLIGHT. It would be much appreciated if you would like to participate in the various ongoing discussions at the reorganisation page and the WikiProject Spaceflight talk page. If you are a member of one of WP:SPACEFLIGHT's child projects but not WP:SPACEFLIGHT itself, it would also be very useful if you could please add your name to the member list here. Many thanks!

The article Olivier Fourdan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The subject is notable for only one thing, which already has an article
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rwxrwxrwx (talk) 11:16, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Lunar probes
editThe List of lunar probes isn't my creation; I just moved it from List of Solar System probes since it was such a large part of that article and was capable of standing on its own.
I'm not opposed in principle to a merger, but I see no reason that the Timeline couldn't stand on its own; e.g., if the emphasis in the Timeline is on encounters and their events (what happened to the probe, what scientific data was gathered, etc.) then it wouldn't necessarily be redundant with a list which is more about the probes themselves (as machines). They need not even be the same line-by-line; if the focus of the Timeline is on encounters, then failed launches and probes that failed en route, or missed the Moon entirely, would not need to be listed. Just a thought. RandomCritic (talk) 21:58, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Copyright
editUsing non-free images outside of the article namespace does not constitute fair-use, and is therefore a copyright violation. I have removed some such copyright violations from a page in your userspace. --W. D. Graham 09:05, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- Please consider this a reminder. As WDGraham alluded to, the use of non-free images in userspace is a violation of WP:NFCC#9. Accordingly I too have just removed some from another page in your userspace. VernoWhitney (talk) 23:55, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

VRSS-1
editThis launched today and I've written VRSS-1 and nominated it for the front page WP:DYK slot. I've given you a credit for User:Tom Paine/sandbox/VRSS-1 Secretlondon (talk) 20:13, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. I didn't see that you'd moved it into main article space as I would have added to it rather than starting a new one. Secretlondon (talk) 08:21, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
DYK for VRSS-1
editOn 11 October 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article VRSS-1, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Venezuela's second satellite, VRSS-1, was launched at the end of September? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/VRSS-1. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Timeline of programming languages, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Adele Goldberg. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
