Indiomar moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Indiomar, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

Only one sentence of this article and the infobox is in English, the rest is still on Spanish and has to be translated to English. Thank you. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 11:59, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

March 2024: Do not perform cut-and-paste moves

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Luna (Feid song) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Luna (Feid and ATL Jacob song). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Ss112 17:55, 12 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

By the way, release history sections are not a requirement for an article, so I don't have to do any such thing, although I have: the song was serviced to radio in Italy on March 1, 2024, making it a single. Radio airplay is a major component of singles. Regardless, try not to revert otherwise constructive edits, thanks. You can manually undo one part of an edit without undoing the rest of it. DYK for Classy 101

On 18 May 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Classy 101, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Puerto Rican singer Young Miko composed "Classy 101" in Los Angeles and had never met Colombian singer Feid before he recorded the song with her? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Classy 101. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Classy 101), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

GOCE copy-edit request for Chihiro (song)

edit

Hi Pollosito, in June, you expressed an interest in copy-editing the above article at the Guild of Copy Editors' Requests page here (permalink). Do you still intend to copy-edit this article? If so, please mark the request with {{working}}; if not, I'll post a note to that effect so someone else can accept the request. Thanks for your interest in the GOCE, i hope you'll be able to take part in the future. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 05:27, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Baffle gab1978: Hi. I'd love to start with it, but I think the article has to be expanded. I don't know if it's appropiate to expand it on my own as a copyediting contribution, because I understand that copyeditors can't do that, just improve the prose without significantly affecting the article. Santi (talk) 21:01, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your reply, I'm glad you're still interested in copy-editing. You're as free and welcome as anyone else to expand and improve the article, but you're correct to say expanding articles, adding citations, etc. don't count as copy-editing. You could copy-edit the text first, and then expand the article, which might help you decide where the article needs expanding and where your new material would fit into the existing text. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 02:59, 22 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Baffle gab1978: Thank you for the clarification. So, I'll be copyediting starting the next week. Santi (talk) 23:51, 22 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
No problem; when you're ready to start, please add the template {{Working}} to the request, and please add {{Done}} below when you're finished. Thanks again and happy copy-editing. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 05:49, 23 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

() Pollosito, since you haven't edited this article I'm taking over the request. Feel free to do any expansion at your leisure. Thanks for your copy-editing work and cheers, Baffle☿gab 02:06, 2 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
