Fifa women's qualifiers
I reverted two of your edits, I apologize if my explanation is not clear. Both Iceland and Ireland can finish 2nd in their groups, but it is no longer possible for them to advance to the next round even if they do. Because the UEFA qualifying page is not explicit in this usage of the shading I understand if you take issue with it, but I am trying to be consistent with how other UEFA pages are handled.18abruce (talk) 14:47, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- I see - even if they are second, they can't make it to the final playoff. Thanks for the clarification. Jkudlick (talk) 17:02, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Probably better to ask this here
I just noticed something. MLS has W,L,T in the header, USLPro has W,T,L in the header and NASL & NWSL have W,D,L in the header. I looked on the league's sites and found that NASL has W,D,L and the other three have W,L,T. Which should be used? Equineducklings (talk) 15:17, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
- The module is programmed to display W,D,L as that is the standard format throughout association football. We Americans like to be mavericks, but consistency throughout a project makes everything work and look better. -- Jkudlick tcs 15:28, 23 November 2014 (UTC)

Any luck on Ceremonies regarding "Instrument of Degradation?"
I still only have the order of the Garter which is removing various pieces, casting them into the Choir and then kicking them out the side door. --DHeyward (talk) 06:21, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
- Nothing yet, but I still have some friends checking on other British orders and also checking to see if the Garter stall plates are still there. — Jkudlick tcs 08:33, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vivek Nagul (4th nomination)
Regarding your 'SALT' !vote, this is not the 4th AFD - 1st and 3rd were duplicates of the 4th, and there was no 2nd. In effect, there has only been 1 AFD and the article has never previously been deleted. I have removed my 'SALT' !vote. GiantSnowman 13:35, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

Footballer height
Hello Jkudlick. You started a discussion ages ago at football project about using WP:UNITS to give English/Welsh/Scottish footballer heights in feet first. Can we conclude it now please because some editors are stopping me putting feet first like it says because they personally prefer meters first which isn't right. The PFA Footballers' who's Who book doesn't even give meters only feet and inches so they are wrong saying meters is "official". Speccy4Eyes (talk) 22:35, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- I'd like to conclude it, but there wasn't a real consensus, and until it's officially posted on WP:FOOTY, there's not much we can do. In your case, though, you can point to the MOS as higher justification than other editors' personal aesthetic. Cheers! — Jkudlick tcs 23:43, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks. What do you mean by officially posted on WP:FOOTY and how do we get that done? Speccy4Eyes (talk) 21:27, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- Right now, there is a request at WP:ANRFC for an uninvolved editor or admin to review the discussion to see if a consensus has actually been reached and to officially close the discussion. Once that happens, I'll work with some of the other editors at FOOTY to post the language somewhere on the Project, although the talk page and the archive should suffice, and I'll also post notice at WP:GS/UKU that a project-wide consensus has been reached. That should avoid the need to have discussions on the talk pages of hundreds of articles. — Jkudlick tcs 01:49, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – AFC Second Round, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. - @Opdire657: – Thank you, but being involved in an edit war and removing my comments from your talk page show bad faith editing on your part. You have undone what several different editors have done to keep the article consistent with past articles, and removing others' comments from your talk page possibly violates WP:CIVIL. I request it because some articles have lots of missing information and no one do something, you do not need to know, you just need to take the information from other website and post it on wikipedia, Why is not possible with Copy and Paste, would be so much easier to create pages.--Alexiulian25 (talk) 09:02, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

- @Miks3001: In the future, in order to prevent confusion, please either add a citation to the edit or state where the information was obtained in your edit summary. No hard feelings. — Jkudlick tcs 21:47, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Jkudlick: point taken, but I did that actually I put a note of my source which was a press release from EFA (Egyptian Football Association) published in Kooora Website in Arabic because I didn't find it in English, sorry I assumed that other editors Know Arabic or can find a translation my mistake. Next time I'll include a hint in English in Edit summary. Thanks I hope we can co-operate in the near future

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Relist
AFD discussions should not be relisted more than twice as described at WP:RELIST like you did at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Andrey Bogdanov (boxer), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vladimir Gendelman, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/L. Nichols Buttons. These are done in rare occasions and an explanation is expected. Since these are presumably not discussions whereby there's a lack of participation as WP:SOFTDELETE would come into play, then relisting would only be done to state where consensus still requires further participation. Generally speaking, non-admins should not be determining "close call or contentious" discussions per WP:NACD. Mkdwtalk 05:09, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- Furthermore, relisting Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Painter (supercentenarian) after it had a lengthy discussion and then participating in the discussion and strongly supporting one side, the relisting or the !vote could be seen as WP:INVOLVED and an attempt to sway the outcome of the discussion in your favour. Please be careful. Mkdwtalk 05:20, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

Removing AfD template
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Debesai Ghierghis Ogbazghi. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 09:26, 12 January 2016 (UTC)
- Mental note - don't forget to reattach the AfD tag if reverting to a stable version of a page. — Jkudlick tcs 09:42, 12 January 2016 (UTC)
I owe you an assessment...
Hi, Jkudlick! After turning you down at WP:ORCP, I probably owe you an assessment on my end. So here's what I see... You have 3,500 edits so far: people at RfA probably would like to see 7,000 edits at least, and these days I think a candidate likely needs 10,000 edits are more before having a chance in an RfA. In terms of the distribution of your edits, only 735 of those 3,500 edits (or 22%) are in what's known as "Mainspace" (i.e. "article space") – that is definitely on the low side for what RfA voters want to see. In fact, you could probably expect RfA voter objections for having more edits in "Wikipedia space" than "mainspace" – now I see that a lot of the "Wikipedia space" edits are for WP:FOOTY participation, so you might be able to explain that. But I would definitely advise raising your "mainspace" editing percentage to a higher value – IOW, you want to edit actual articles more, even if it's to fix bad formatting and add references. Related to this, RfA voters generally want to see higher levels of editing (>100 edits per month seems to be the general benchmark) for a number of months before running in an RfA, so your "lull" in editing for spring and summer 2015 wouldn't help your case. Finally, only about 500 of your edits (about 15%) are semi-automated through Twinkle, and that should be just fine.
AfD: your WP:AfD "correct" score is only 50%, and some RfA voters would see that as a problem (other voters poo-poo going off the straight percentage like this...). Now, looking at the particulars, it looks like most of your deletion noms that went against you were based on a good-faith interpretation of WP:FOOTY policy and a previous AfD "precdent". But my advice for you on AfD would be to slow down, take a break from nominating articles for deletions, and instead just vote in some AfD nominations for a while – doing that should help you get better at AfD discussions and deletion consensus, etc. Meanwhile, your CSD logs look fine and PROD looks OK (once the "archives" are factored in) – so probably no concerns there.
Finally, an area you need to work on is so-called "content creation". There are two ways to do it: either create some articles (in your case, perhaps in the WP:FOOTY area – perhaps some player articles?...), or start trying to take some articles to WP:GA or WP:FA (probably best to start with GA before trying FA...). But with no articles created, and no GA/FA work, you'd have a much tougher time at RfA, as voters are looking for at least something here...
Other assessment: clean block log (that's very good!), Talk page discussion looks good: civil and helpful. Your user page is fine, except for one really minor thing: you have an {{Autoconfirmed topicon}} on your userpage – I'd advise getting rid of that: almost every editor with a named account is "Autoconfirmed" and a lot of old timers (myself, probably included) consider advertising "Autoconfirmed" status to indicate that you're a "rookie".
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! --IJBall (contribs • talk) 18:11, 12 January 2016 (UTC)
- @IJBall: Thank you for the feedback. I figured that my lack of content creation might cause problems, but it's good to know the other details. I definitely have work to do. :) — Jkudlick tcs 21:45, 12 January 2016 (UTC)
- One other really minor thing, concerning your signature: the "t" for "Talk" in you sig. is hard to click on (i.e. it's too small) – so you might want to spell out the word "Talk" in your sig. to make it easier to click on (you can leave the "c" and "s" as they are, as I don't have any problem clicking on those...). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:49, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

Correction Saida, Sidon lebanese Home-Matches for AFD World cup qualification
Thanks for very quick correction. One question: How can I get a user name in Wiki? I was sorry yesterday, that my request was only with my IP-address.
In private I am researching a lot for past football World Cups and European Championships and have already corrected some minor mistakes, misspellings, etc. anonymously. This is of course not the right way, so I want to do it the correct Wikipedia-way.

Speedy deletion nomination of Caring for our Watersheds
A tag has been placed on Caring for our Watersheds requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Stefan2 (talk) 11:54, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
Canadian Victoria Cross recipients
Thank you for raising and then closing the VCFA issue. The present article needs some work to highlight the issue you raised. The normal spin is that there are 100 Australian VC awards. The media seldom breaks it down as 96 British VC and four VCFA awards. Of the 96 British awards, 91 were to members of the Australian forces and five to Australians serving in South African and British forces. The additional five all had previous service in the Australian forces and four of the five were born in Australia. I would be pleased if you had a look at the last section in Talk:List of Canadian Victoria Cross recipients.Anthony Staunton (talk) 09:37, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
