Latin Grammy
editI'd have to congratulate you for the amazing work you do on latin grammy articles. As you have seen, Zach and I, we are planning to take all Latin Grammy categories to FL status, and I was wondering if you are willing to work with me taking the yearly articles to FL status too. If you wanna work with us on the category articles, I'd be very happy too :) Happy editing, and thanks for the support. We have another list on FLC, your comments there will be very appreciated. Saludos. — ΛΧΣ21 02:04, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the praise, of course I would like to work with you. I usually write the article for the winners, since I think that makes the lists complete, that is why my work is kinda slow, (I spent months writing articles for the Short Form Music Video list). Let's star this project, finishing the categories first, and then the yearly lists. Which ones are you currently working on? so I can be able to work on some others, currently I have on my sandbox the Latin Jazz Album and want to take the Regional Song.Jaespinoza (talk) 19:26, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late response. This came hidden within my watchlist. Zach and I are currently working and planning to get all categories to FLC. Here is our worktable: User:Hahc21/To_do#List_of_Latin_Grammy_Awards_categories. We are now on the albums categories first, then the song categories. I can assist you on everything you'd need and then we can, the three of us, take them all to featured topic :) — ΛΧΣ21 22:30, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response, I am currently working on the LGA for Jazz Album and I agree let's start with the albums categories. Cheers. Jaespinoza (talk) 22:52, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Done. By the way, you should avoid acronims when possible, and tell the other users the things they should fix in plain words. Not really a big problem anyway (I also made that mistake at your review), it's just an habit that should be avoided if possible, as it makes communication a little tricky. The Latin Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video is an honor presented annually at the Latin Grammy Awards, a ceremony that recognizes excellence and creates a wider awareness of cultural diversity and contributions of Latin recording artists in the United States and internationally. The award has been given since the 1st Latin Grammy Awards in 2000 to artists, directors and producers of an individual promotional music video released for the first time during the award eligibility year. "No Me Dejes de Querer", performed by Gloria Estefan (pictured) and directed by Emilio Estefan, was the first music video to be awarded. They were followed by Ricky Martin for the video "She Bangs". Shakira's "Suerte" was also awarded, and the recipient of the first Video of the Year award at the MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica. The English-language version of the video received four nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards of 2002. The music video for the bilingual track "Frijolero" by Mexican band Molotov, that employs animation software previously developed by the directors Jason Archer and Paul Beck for the American film Waking Life, received the award in 2003.

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite
editHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:36, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
Adriana Paz
editHello:
The copy edit that you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Adriana Paz has been completed.
You will notice that I archived one of the article’s citations (#2). I suggest that you archive the rest of the article’s URLs as time allows. This ensures that the article's references are available "forever" and that it doesn’t develop “dead links” over time. The site I use is https://archive.org/web/. Simply copy the URL in the citation and paste it in the “Save Page Now” box on the archive.org site and click save. This creates a copy of the original page and provides you with a new URL to add to the original citation. If you look at the URL I've archived you'll see the syntax. You add the new URL to the end of the original citation like this: |archiveurl=http etc|archivedate=November 13, 2015}}. Not all websites allow archiving - CBS TV news and the NY Times are two I've come across -, so there's not much you can do about that unless there is an alternate citation you could use. La Higuera the source for the first citation does not allow archiving.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Editor of the Week seeking nominations (and a new facilitator)
editThe Editor of the Week initiative has been recognizing editors since 2013 for their hard work and dedication. Editing Wikipedia can be disheartening and tedious at times; the weekly Editor of the Week award lets its recipients know that their positive behaviour and collaborative spirit is appreciated. The response from the honorees has been enthusiastic and thankful.
The list of nominees is running short, and so new nominations are needed for consideration. Have you come across someone in your editing circle who deserves a pat on the back for improving article prose regularly, making it easier to understand? Or perhaps someone has stepped in to mediate a contentious dispute, and did an excellent job. Do you know someone who hasn't received many accolades and is deserving of greater renown? Is there an editor who does lots of little tasks well, such as cleaning up citations?
Please help us thank editors who display sustained patterns of excellence, working tirelessly in the background out of the spotlight, by submitting your nomination for Editor of the Week today!
In addition, the WikiProject is seeking a new facilitator/coordinator to handle the logistics of the award. Please contact L235 if you are interested in helping with the logistics of running the award in any capacity. Remove your name from here to unsubscribe from further EotW-related messages. Thanks, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 05:19, 30 December 2016 (UTC)

Víctor Herrera disambiguation pages
editHi – I see you recently did some redirecting on the pages with the above name, but it's left things a little confusing. There's currently a disambiguation page for both Víctor Herrera (with the tilde accent on the "í") and Victor Herrera (without the accent). They probably should be merged, and I would have redirected the page without the accent to the page with the accent, since as a Spanish name all people called Víctor will have the accent on the "í". However, the talk page for the disambiguation article now redirects to the talk page for the Colombian cyclist of that name, with the reasoning that there is also a Mexican cinematographer of that name... but if the latter article ever existed, it's been deleted from Wikipedia, so now there seems no reason to have that redirect. What's the best way of sorting this out, do you think? Richard3120 (talk) 04:27, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

The article Tu Eres Mi Luz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NSONG. No standalone notability and the title isn't even spelled correctly (missing the acute).
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I personally would like to do it in chronological order, but it's up to you how you want to do it. Erick (talk) 20:31, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- OMG I did not know that, now it looks like I do not read. Let's do it. Let me know how we can distribute the work. Javier Espinoza (talk) 02:22, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- Awesome! I can start posting sources for El Alma al Aire. I just need to know which of your sandbox you would like me to put it on. EDIT: I'm also working on Abrázame Muy Fuerte (song) as part of my personal project of songs that reached #1 on the Latin pop/tropical chart songs (I'm currently in 2001). Since you worked extensively on that article, I will credit you when I get it to GAN. Erick (talk) 17:39, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- This will be the sandbox for this: User:Jaespinoza/Sandbox10 and let me know if you need additional help for the "Abrázame Muy Fuerte" article. Thank you. Javier Espinoza (talk) 20:03, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- I forgot to ask, which part of El Alma al Aire do you want to work on? I invited Franlm14 to help as well since we worked on Luis Miguel's albums together. Erick (talk) 17:04, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
- Just to confirm, do you still want to all the Latin Grammys for Album of the Year? Me personally, I would prefer to do the Latin Grammy award-winning pop albums like Latin Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Album and Latin Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album, since it's fewer albums and the awards were discontinued, but it's up to how you want to do it. I also think El Alma al Aire might have a chance to be FA in the future given the sources found. Erick (talk) 21:48, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Just following up to see where stand. I'd personally would like to do Latin Grammy Award winning albums that won in the Pop field if that's okay with you. Erick (talk) 21:59, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

Better source request for File:La Niña en la Piedra (Nadie Te Ve).jpg
editThanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. — Ирука13 04:20, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
