Just letting you know that I removed the tag because an article with a similar name existed and I redirected, which seemed like a better choice. Bar Code Symmetry (Talk) 16:51, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

DYK for David Hoberman
On 3 October 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article David Hoberman, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that in his early life, David Hoberman couldn't walk on cracks, and had to touch poles? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/David Hoberman. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
Signature
Hi Avenue X at Cicero. I've just noticed your new signature, which is 600 characters long in markup. I assume you're doing it through a substitution, but even so, this is far too long. Per Wikipedia:Sig#Length, the maximum length of code should be 255 chars long. Can you please reduce it's size? WormTT · (talk) 10:35, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dac04 (talk) 18:51, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

What do I Have to 'EXPLAIN' exactly to get her listed? She has enough substantial evidence on Google and multiple forums and search engines to be on here? so can you explain How I write the article proply without it being flagged. O.S. Manian
I just now created this page and noticed that you put a redirect on this page (with same name). Surviving page and write-up is mine but in the page history i do not see any mention of my user id. Can you explain what exactly did you do? Thanks AKS (talk) 19:15, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Oh yes, I'll request an admin to merge the page histories. Regards, Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 19:18, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hold on, what was the other name that you attempted to put #REDIRECT on? Let me check that before you do anything. AKS (talk) 19:22, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Avenue X; Whatever you do just ensure that my username reflects as the page creator since it is 100% my write-up that is surviving. Cheers AKS (talk) 19:30, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Avenue X; I dont know what are you trying to do but I suggest just STOP. You copied text from my page and pasted into another page and then are trying to put a recirect on my page (which is the surviving text)? Please ask an administrator to fix this and I suggest you dont touch it. Cheers AKS (talk) 19:33, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)I'm afraid not. I will have to touch it, its not your copyright, unfortunately; (By clicking the "Save Page" button, you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL). And yes, no guarantees that you'll be listed as the "page creator". Contrary to your belief, it is not your page (per WP:OWN). I don't actually get what you're trying to express from you last post, but have posted my replies to whatever I have. Regards, Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 19:44, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Also, as a side note, if you really regret what you post,
strikeit, don't remove it, and make me sound like a fool. Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 19:44, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- In that case I suggest next time when you are putting a #REDIRECT, do not just "copy & paste" text from one page to another based on your whims & fancies. Earlier page name had one extra "space" and in the article only one line write-up whilst I researched and wrote with the intention to "create" the article. THINK before you take an action and dont try to "Police" around. I am not going to argue any further on this. Cheers AKS (talk) 19:54, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Well, what can I say if when you know that a page (with a correct page title) exists, and you go on creating another article (which is a plausible redirect). Please brush up on the policies and guidelines on Wikipedia (like WP:OWN, WP:Merge history, WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:Article titles to name a few) before telling me to "stop 'Policing' around". Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 20:03, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- Another side note, if you really want to volunteer and volunteer for good, expand not create articles. Remember, if you continue duplicating articles, we might as well have them deleted A10. Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 20:03, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- I think you don’t get the point; this was NOT the last subject on this planet that was yet to be written on Wikipedia. I did search for the name and somehow due to the extra space, I did miss out on it. What you did was very wrong; took my write-up and pasted it into the stale article. If you had to move (#REDIRECT) my page then you should have done it simply and not “copy paste” all that I did and left the surviving article with only one line of write-up. You have vandalized the page I wrote. If you think that my pages existence was “incorrect” then it should have been deleted in totality and not “stealing” the write-up first and then putting a redirect.
- For your information; I have a list of 800 subjects with me that I am checking for existence on Wikipedia and this happened to be one of them. The way you goofed up in realising that the histories had to be merged; same way I goofed up in the one extra “null value”. What makes you think you are “I know it all Mr. Right”. AKS (talk) 04:06, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
- Better don't accuse me of "stealing" your write-up; I already attributed you in my summary. And yes, please explain how I am a vandal. You've irrevocably agreed to release your work under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 License, so you can't accuse me of "stolen text". You know, on a personal note, I've seen editors like you who realize their folly (yeah: your removal was enough to satisfy me of that), and later accuse others of being wrong and call them “I know it all Mr. Right”. New Page Patrolling
One minute after creation for an article that might just still be in creation is far, far, too fast. We may nhave to ask you to take a break from New Page Patroll. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 16:38, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know. But I Googled the subject, and all that came was pointless self-promotion on Facebook and Myspace, his blog, his covers, and accounts on Reverbnation and PureVolume. Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 17:03, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- In one minute? Even I can't patrol a page properly in that time. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 17:37, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- There's an exception to every rule. :P Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 18:22, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Council of Ministers of West Bengal
The article Council of Ministers of West Bengal you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Council of Ministers of West Bengal for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. All the best, – Quadell (talk) 19:27, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Quadell! First up, thanks for the review! I would be much obliged if you kept the review "on-hold" till October 20–23 since I will only be able to improve the article till then and we all know how long it takes for another review. Would be grateful if you comply. Thanks and regards, Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 12:52, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
- I think the article will require more improvement than can be done in such a brief time. I closed the review as "not passing", rather than on hold. However, if you greatly expand several parts and resolve all the issues, feel free to renominate the article for GA status. All the best, – Quadell (talk) 13:59, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
Talk:Saathiya – Pyar ka Naya Ehsaas
Hi. I have temporarily created a disambiguation page at Saathiya (TV series). I appreciate your efforts to initiate a conversation at Talk:Saathiya – Pyar ka Naya Ehsaas, but I think it's probably not a good idea to ask an admin for a favor to implement your preference before consensus is established. I've told User:Survir (who asked me for the same kind of favor) that he must talk to you about this. If he does not, please let me know, and I will put things back the way they were. I'm about to formally note the discussion on the pages themselves, as per usual practice. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:40, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
- The only reason I had to ask Fastily is because if I asked the page to be deleted G6, Survir could easily move back the page without discussion. Now that (currently) only admin's can, I hope this has kick started a discussion. Regards, Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 13:38, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

J J Cahill Memorial HS
The official name of the school does not have periods after the initials of J J Cahill: [1] and [2]. ˜danjel [ talk | contribs ] 06:57, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- Reading over WP:TITLE again, also, the school is almost never referred to as "J. J. Cahill Memorial HS". The most commonly used name is without the .'s. See, for example: Google News Search ˜danjel [ talk | contribs ] 07:03, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- Well, it doesn't contains the spaces between the Js either. Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 08:04, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

Reflinks
Hi, when using Reflinks, please verify that the added information is sensible. See, for example, this edit (the one under the "Personal life" heading), which now contains |author=July 29, 2011 12:00AM
- there is a proper author on that web page, it states "Fiona Byrne" just below the heading "Baby is icing on the cake for MasterChef's George Calombaris". Thanks. --Redrose64 (talk) 09:41, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- Oops. Sorry about that. Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 11:53, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

When I edited Tea Party movement just now, this edit you did at the warning template didn't do anything. Like, the top of the page read, in big red letters, "(yes, that means you, , the person trying to edit right now!)" with nothing between the commas. I'm signed in but it didn't know me. And when I went to the actual template page, your username was between the commas.
Of course, you did that over a month ago, so if there's a problem, it probably hasn't just gone unnoticed until now. So I bet it's just me. CityOfSilver 19:40, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
