Roaming the backlogs practicing and trying to tie up loose ends...
I decided to become involved because the entire idea behind wikipedia is fascinating to me. I hope some where a far smarter person than me is studying this as a philisophic and social phenomonom. while of course words have definitions of their own, true definition of a word is only known after it's put in context, and continually changes and evolves as the context does. to have a living tome of knowledge that grows expands and changes is an amazing concept, and the fact that more context for any given article is at your finger tips through linking is even more amazing.
anyway since I'm new I haunt the backlogs practicing copy editing and wikifying and reading the debates over NPOV and all that. I also try to clarify tags on articles and remove obsolete tags.
woot my new hobby is reclassifying all of the (in my opinion) misclassified need wikifying articles. anyone can disagree with me here, but in my opinion anything that can be labeled a stub still doesnt need a wikify tag.
