8 seats are available to be filled, but Arbcom does not need all 8 to be filled. If you do not believe a candidate is suitable, vote oppose[a] |
This is NOT a voters' guide, just my private quick evaluation, looking at the candidates' answers to my questions, and how I saw them previously (Precious, when, for what, or last years question).
Questions from Gerda Arendt
edit- Do you believe that we still have infobox wars? If yes, do you have better ideas than the 2013 arb ruling to end them? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:25, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
I asked this question because the Laurence Olivier situation came up, but could not point at it because some would have understood that as canvassing. Now that it was closed, the follow-up question:
- Where does the recently closed RfC for Laurence Olivier sit in your perspective?
- ... and repeating that question after another week of discussions there --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:46, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
- ... and no answer but it now went to a noticeboard --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:07, 10 December 2022 (UTC)

editToday is the birthday of Jean Sibelius, and I'm voting. Most candidates saw that there's not much of a war, at least no recent bloody battles. None of them offered a good idea for peace. The topic is still loaded, as the Olivier discussion shows, and last year's question, How many RfCs do we need to call the infobox wars over?, was not answered, not by the candidates nor the community. We have right now - after a completely quiet year - RfCs not only for Olivier, but also for two composers, a poet and an actress - no links or I would be accused of canvassing. I would like to see peace in 2023, - ideas welcome. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:32, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
