I have completed this list with the help of The Taxonomicon. There are some things to note:
- Both cynamolgus and cynomolgus should be linked to Macaca cynomoglus. I couldn't figure out which macaque that should be, but took an educated guess.
- satyrus refers in part to Pan troglodytes and in part to Pongo pygmaeus
- 4 names do not refere to any modern species at all, as far as The Taxonomicaon is concerned, as so I put them together as "(unknown)".
Are there no other species?
editAre there no other species? In his 12th edition Linnaeus described a lot more, than there are in this list. Why are they not included in the list? is there any reason? 84.175.5.129 (talk) 18:20, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
