Correct name
editHi Rsrikanth and others, His exact name is not clear to me. While CNN-IBN does write it as S. Siddaramaiah, Business Standard and TOI writes it to be K. Siddaramaiah. In such a situation, may I suggest moving the page to the original title "Siddaramaiah" until we have more information. TIA. Regards, Rahul Bott (talk) 05:04, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
- Alright then. I'll move it to Siddaramaiah (politician) till we can ascertain his full name. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 06:18, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
Why even the title suffix? There's no ambiguity over here. Rahul Bott (talk) 07:01, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
- At this, I thing that would be the best. While there is no one else with the same name who has an article here, I think it's better considering it's only a first name, there is nothing accompanying it. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 07:56, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
- Can we move Siddaramaiah (politician) to Siddaramaiah as there is no need for a disambiguation here? -- Tinu Cherian - 09:22, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
- In the election affidavit submitted to Election Commission, he identifies himself as Siddaramaiah ( without any initials or surname) . Also since there are no other Wikipedia articles/personalities on WP by name Siddaramaiah, I strongly suggest moving the article name to Siddaramaiah. -- Tinu Cherian - 09:29, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
- In an offline conversation with Rsrikanth05 , he said he has no serious objections in moving the article to Siddaramaiah . Doing now.. -- Tinu Cherian - 03:30, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
- Done -- Tinu Cherian - 03:33, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Mononymity of the subject
editThe subject is known mononymously and that fact has been reitered several times in the media. Neither his swear-in nor his affidavit suggests that he bears any initial or a surname. The recent change made in the article that the subject has a "K." initial shall be frowned upon solely in the good faith that there are many reasons to not find it credible.
So I request that any further intention to change the name should be discussed in the talk page before being employed in practice. Appu (talk) 14:36, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
