Yes, this entry needs a lot of work

This entry needs a lot of work. I will work on it was time permits taking care not to violate the rule about "no original research." Perhaps others will make the time available to do so as well.

Note that Kapalana will be receiving the Hawai'i Academy of Recording Arts "Lifetime Achievement Award" in May of this year. It has not been announced how many members and former members of the group will be included in the honor. (71.22.47.232 (talk) 21:08, 16 March 2011 (UTC))Reply

That's cool. Feel free to add to this page with such information and anything else constructive. I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll put on here, and since this page is on my watchlist, I may be helping out with this page also. Thank you. Please note that the information about Kalapana receiving the Hawai'i Academy of Recording Arts "Lifetime Achievement Award" in May of 2011, and which members and former members received it, has been added (years ago). The short answer is the award recipients were the people who had recorded as official members of the group prior to its departure for Japan (Bilyeu, Feary, Pratt, Thompson, Aloya, Paulo and Fejarang)-- plus Holomalia and Sano, who became official members of Kalapana when it re-formed in the mid-1980s. 2603:800C:3A00:59B5:C312:CA6B:182B:406F (talk) 09:47, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
