2. College basketball win-loss records?
3. College baseball win-loss records?
All assistance greatly appreciated. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:32, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- Wife is Elsa Hutcheson, but cannot find a marriage date/record/&c. Cake (talk) 21:21, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Dirtlawyer1: Which baseball teams did he coach? The article mentions Vandy baseball, but the navbox does not, and though I won't present myself as some scholar of Vandy baseball I don't know of his association with it – or is that why we have the question? Cake (talk) 20:07, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
- @MisterCake: Cake, the Vandy baseball article does not list him as a coach, but he did play for the baseball team while he was an undergrad. If I ever had any specific knowledge of Cody serving as a head baseball coach, I've since forgotten. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:43, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
- I am not surprised he played, but was willing to help find a win-loss record if I knew of somewhere he coached. Cake (talk) 22:12, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi, I will be reviewing this against the GA criteria as part of a GAN sweep. I'll leave some comments soon. JAGUAR 19:05, 24 November 2016 (UTC)

Checking against the GA criteria
edit- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
- The lead needs to expanded slightly to comply per WP:LEAD. Or you could merge the two paragraphs into one (if you have trouble expanding), but a small expansion is required in order for it to summarise the article. Done
- "Nashville Banner sportswriter, and Vanderbilt alumnus, Fred Russell described Cody" - unnecessary comma in between "sportswriter" and "and" Done
- "At 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m), and 225 pounds (102 kg), a mammoth size in his day" - informal Done
- The sections 1916, World War I and 1919 are too short and could easily be merged to create a "1916 to 1919" section Done
- " Former Georgia Tech running back Everett Strupper was an assistant coach." - unsourced Done
- "Cody's first year as an assistant on the football team in 1923 saw the last conference title for Vanderbilt in the sport to date. In 1926, the football team lost only to Wade's Alabama." - needs a citation Done
- There are several harvref errors in the references section Done
- a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):

I'll leave this on hold until all of the issues are addressed. To summarise, a couple of claims need citations, the lead needs a small expansion and there are some harvref errors which need fixing. Once all of those have cleared up this should pass! JAGUAR 17:13, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks again jaguar. Any better? Cake (talk) 23:55, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
