Merge

edit

Merging this article with ground rule double would be entirely inappropriate. Ground rules are an aspect of the game of baseball, specific to baseball, and a significant concept. A ground rule double is a specific play, like a dropped third strike or a catcher interference. It is misnamed; it is not a gound rule. The two articles do reference each other, as they should, but they should not be combined.

Keep as-is

edit

I also vote that we keep this page as-is, and since the tag has been present for almost 7 months, I'm going to be bold and remove the tag. Wesmills 04:40, 6 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Over seven weeks later ... nobody has objected, and I just took the tag off the other article (Ground rule double). ;Bear 18:36, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

While I agreed with whoever first proposed a merge -- in my mind a move for simplicity -- I see your point regarding the ground rule double entry. I think it is enough they reference each other. Ebear422, thanks for removing the other notice and pointing us to this talk page. I need to remember to also watch these pages. domoni 23:12, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jacobs Field?

edit

Why is this listed as a ground rule? Isn't this the usual situation, the "foul pole" and screens are actually fair?Wschart 20:16, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
