Goritia? Goriza?

Which is the right form, Goritia or Goriza?

Gorizia was first mentioned as "Goriza" ("Damus et donamus cum omni iure (...) medietatem unius villae quae sclavonica lingua vocatur Goriza") This is an updating note

Tito himself?

"Josip Broz Tito had a new city, Nova Gorica ("New Gorizia"), constructed in the 1948 in what is now Slovenian territory."

In my opinion, this statement is a bit inadequate. It gives the impression Nova Gorica was built at Tito's expressed desire, which isn't true. There was a widespread consensus that a new urban centre had to be put up (either by the erection of a whole new town or by expanding one of the smaller pre-existing villages), because north-west Slovenia remained without a propper centre after the Paris agreement of 1947. That's why I think it's better to replace "Josip Broz Tito" with a more general (and thus more accurate) "the Slovene authorities". Viator slovenicus 23:51, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Trg / Piazza / Square Transalpina?

Why is there virtually no mention of Transalpina Square in the Gorizia or Nova Gorica articles? The piazza is a famous attraction of the twin towns and probably the number one place that tourists wish to visit when visiting the towns. I'm sure there used to be a whole section about it.--Xania ^talk 23:19, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
