Is there genuinely no difference between a financier and a friand, in common usage? Google Images return somewhat different kinds of almond-cakes for the two words, and in Australia a friand is always an oval cake with some kind of topping (typically one of date, berry, almond-flake, etc) whereas it seems like a financier is typically rectangular and unadulterated with other toppings. --Maebmij 04:52, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

These two are obviouly different cakes, so they should have separate (stub) entries. Also, please, please get rid of the recipe -Wikipedia is not a how-to book (WP:NOT).--Ramdrake (talk) 15:44, 10 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
