This person is significant in Merchant Marine history and authorship. He was a prolific author and maritime educator including being the superintendent of the New York Nautical School on two occasions. In testament to his notoriety in his day, a liberty ship was named after him. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Liberty_ships_(A–F).

As this article now stands it mimics, in an abbreviated form, the layout of the article on Herman Melville (albeit with less information here for Riesenberg than there is for Melville). This article now also has several internal wikilinks that it did not have in June 2010 when the tag was placed. Since the Melville article is rated B-class and does not have a {{Wikify}} template tag on it I propose removing that tag from this article, "soon". Would any of you like to object to removal of the tag? Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 67.86.74.73 (talk) 19:47, 4 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

The wikify tag that was left behind by SmackBot in June 2010 has been removed. 67.86.74.73 (talk) 00:05, 7 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
