The result of the proposal was move Chiavenna (SO) to Chiavenna, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 09:25, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Chiavenna is currently a disambiguation page between this town, which has been of some importance since Roman times as a ‘key’ to an important Alpine pass, and Paolo Chiavenna, an amateur[?] astronomer who has contributed to the discovery of a number of minor planets. Certainly both articles should exist and clearly they need to be disambiguated. However the town is much, much more likely to be the object of a search for Chiavenna or of links to Chiavenna. I therefore propose that this article (Chiavenna (SO) be moved to Chiavenna and that a ‘hat disambiguation’ be used to point people to the astronomer. —Ian Spackman 12:29, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- I support the move. This has nothing whatever to do with the amateur character of the astronomer, which is in fact quite common for asteroid observers. But Chiavenna and Paolo Chiavenna are the default places for these articles, and if we do that, we need no dab. It will take two clicks to get to him by typing Chiavenna, as it does now. - Support, the astronomer is already disambiguated by his full name. Markussep 21:25, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
