Talk:Ariana Dumbledore

Ariana is first mentioned in chapter 2 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, called Dumbledore's Obituary. The aforementioned obituary was written by written by Elphias Doge, and not, as the article suggests, during the summary for Rita Skeeter's book.

Notability

edit

I'm adding a notability template to this... I'm not sure where but this most definitely needs to be merged somewhere else. I cannot see how a relatively minor character in one book justifies her own article. PageantUpdater 11:23, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Minor? Minor? Have you even read the book? What happened to her shapeds the entire book. It was what caused AB to become good and to put Harry through hardship so that he wouldn't make his mistake. She was very important but she was rarely mentioned.

Does being important to a book or to the development of another character make her notable enough for her own article? I don't know, to be frank, but I think not. Since we do not know much about her (or her mother), we probably cannot flesh it like a self-sustained article. I think information on Albus, Aberforth, Ariana, Kendra and Percival Dumbledore should be integrated into one article, say Dumbledore family or The Dumbledores with each person having their own section (this article can redirect to the proper section). Sections for Albus and Aberforth can link to the main article. --soum talk 17:38, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I agree to the merge. To the one that did the second comment; I've read the book, but stills it doesn't justify her own article. Dreyesbo 21:07, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
