Rajeev Kumar Rai is an Indian politician, educator, businessman, and philanthropist. He currently serves as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Lok Sabha, representing the Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency. He was elected in the 2024 Indian general elections.[1][2]

Rajeev Rai was born in Surhi village , Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. His father is Raj Narayan Rai and wife is Nikita Rai. He has 2 children, Ritvik Rai and Aditya Rai.[3]

Political career

Rajeev Rai's political career is closely linked to the Samajwadi Party.

In the 2024 general elections, Rai was elected as the MP for the Ghosi constituency.

Contributions and achievements

  • Educational Initiatives: He is the founder and chairman of the AVK Group of Institutions, that was established in 2000. The institutions under his leadership have been instrumental in providing quality education and vocational training, particularly benefiting underprivileged students.[4]
  • Philanthropy: Rai has actively engaged in philanthropic activities, offering scholarships, free education opportunities, and accommodation to thousands of disadvantaged children.
