George Holani (born December 16, 1999) is an American professional football running back for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Boise State.

Early life
editHolani attended high school at St. John Bosco. Coming out of high school, Holani was rated as a three-star recruit where he decided to commit to play college football for the Boise State Broncos.[1][2]
College career
editIn week ten of the 2019 season, Holani got his first career start against San Jose State where he rushed for 126 yards and four touchdowns.[3] For his performance in his freshman season he was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year.[4] Also in 2019 he was named second team all-Mountain West.[5] In Holani's first three seasons in 2019, 2020, and 2021 he rushed for 1,691 yards and nine touchdowns, while also making 47 receptions for 427 yards and five touchdowns.[6] During the 2022 season, Holani rushed for 1,157 yards and ten touchdowns, while also bringing in 24 receptions for 151 yards and three touchdowns.[7] For his performance on the 2022 season, Holani was named second-team all-Mountain West.[8] During the 2023 season, Holani rushed for 748 yards and seven touchdowns, while also bringing in 17 receptions for 199 yards.[9] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Holani declared for the 2024 NFL draft.[10] Holani participated in the 2024 NFL combine after receiving an invite.[11]
Holani finished his Boise State career with 3,569 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns, while also hauling in 88 receptions for 777 yards and eight touchdowns.[12]

Holani signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 3, 2024.[15] He was waived on August 27, and re-signed to the practice squad.[16][17]
