Description View of the island of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Bennington (CVS-20), with the prominent AN/SPS-30 (right) and AN/SPS-43 radars. Bennington, with assigned Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 59 (CVSG-59), was deployed to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 20 February to 11 August 1964. In front of the island is a Douglas EA-1E Skyraider from Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 11 (VAW-11) "Early Eleven" Det.Q.
