Early life

Schwesinger attended Oaks Christian School located in Westlake Village, California. Coming out of high school, Schwesinger was unranked, where he ultimately decided to commit to play college football for the UCLA Bruins, joining the team as a walk-on.[1][2]

College career

During Schwesinger's first three collegiate seasons in 2021, 2022, and 2023, Schwesinger appeared in 26 games where he notched 27 tackles with three being for a loss, and a sack.[3][4][5] Heading into the 2024 season, Schwesinger was honored by being named one of the Bruins team captains.[6] In week ten of the 2024 season, Schwesinger notched 13 tackles, a sack, and two pass deflections, as he helped UCLA to a 27-20 win against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.[7] In week eleven, Schwesinger tallied seven tackles along with two interceptions, as he helped the Bruins to a win over the Iowa Hawkeyes.[8] For his performance versus the Hawkeyes, Schwesinger was named the Big Ten defensive player of the week.[9] For his performance during the 2024 season, Schwesinger was named one of the semifinalists for the Butkus Award.[10][11]
