Aneke Murillenem (professionally credited as Aneke) is a comic book artist and illustrator who provided both pencil and inks for Dynamite Entertainment's Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 comic book installments, a Steampunk-genre interpreation of the Original Series.
Aneke hails from Spain. Her career spans multiple publishers, including DC Comics and MARVEL. Prior to her work in comic books, she worked as a freelance artist, providing illustrations for Mongoose Publishing.
She began her career by pitching samples for Dynamite Entertainment's fantasy series, Damsels. Her visual influences include Frank Frazetta among others, including her "all-time favourite María Pascual." She primarily works digitally.[1]
