Today, Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, inaugurates The Egypt Mining Forum (EMF) which takes place from 16 to17 July 2024 in Cairo. The forum, in its third edition, will be attended by a wide international presence of high-level officials, mining industry leaders, investors, major Egyptian and international companies, financial institutions, and mining exploration experts from Egypt and around the world. This year's forum is held under the theme "Exploring Untapped Mining Opportunities and New Commercial Discoveries," aligning with the Ministry's plan to promote investment opportunities in the mining sector. The current edition of the forum will see participation from over 4,000 delegates from 34 countries in the conference and accompanying exhibition, featuring more than a hundred local and international exhibiting companies. It's noteworthy that Petrojet is participating with a distinguished pavilion, and it’s a Gold sponsor of the forum.

Engineer Karim Badawi swore in before President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in Egypt's new cabinet headed by H.E. Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly. Following his appointment, Badawi met with Engineer Tarek El Molla, who congratulated him on assuming office. Badawi commended El Molla for his nine years of service in the ministry and expressed optimism about continuing ongoing projects and achieving set goals in the upcoming phase of his tenure.

Launching expansion of the new condensate distillation project at Nasr Petroleum Refinery   As a part of the Ministry of Petroleum’s drive to increase the local component in new projects to reduce costs, Eng Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, confirmed that the new condensate distillation project for the Nasr Petroleum Refinery in Suez relied on the local component on a large scale. Many of the main components and parts were manufactured in Petrojet fabrication workshops. The minister added that Petrojet has recently succeeded in fabricating key components used in refineries, such as salt separators, and used in other several projects, to reduce imports Petrojet is carrying out the work as a main contractor of establishing a new condensate distillation unit to boost refining capacity by 1.2 million tons annually, raising the current capacity from 6.5 million tons to 7.7 million tons. During the inspection tour, the minister was accompanied by Eng. Waleed Lotfy, Chairman and Managing Director of Petrojet, Eng. Muhammad Abdullah, Chairman of Al-Nasr Company, and a number of leaders from the Ministry of Petroleum.

The Minister of Petroleum praises the performance of Petrojet Company during his inspection tour of new expansion projects in the petroleum geographic region of Mostorod The Minister of Petroleum followed up on the implementation of new projects in the Petroleum Geographical Zone of Mostorod, where Petrojet Company is constructing 12 different petroleum materials tanks, and a project for automatic mixing of gasoline of all types to keep pace with international specifications, in addition of establishing a new firefighting network for companies in the Petroleum Geographical Zone of Mostorod. El-Molla praised the distinguished performance of Petrojet, which has become unique and has long experience in implementing strategic projects. The Minister was accompanied by Engineer Waleed Lotfy, Chairman and Managing Director of Petrojet, Engineer Wael Rizk, Chairman of the Cairo Petroleum Refining Company, and the leaders of the Ministry of Petroleum and the General Petroleum Corporation.
